Gorgeous gardens and rows of vineyards form a tranquil backdrop at Cleveland Estate. Guests can dine at the onsite bar and restaurant.

Cleveland Estate is a 4-minute drive from Lancefield town centre. Mount Macedon is a 30-minute drive away. Melbourne Airport is a 40-minute drive.

Private rooms and a homestead are available. All rooms feature a satellite flat-screen TV, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.They offer indoor/outdoor dining areas. The homestead includes a spa bath and a BBQ.

Lovely stay in a beautiful place

The grounds were beautiful and the staff were lovely. The room was nice and big.

The walls were quite thin so could hear the next room taking a shower in the morning.

Beautiful and peaceful winery stay!

The property itself was beautiful with beautiful surrounds. Room was clean and comfy and had everything we needed for a two night stay. After reading some of the reviews, I was a little concerned with noise levels, however, my partner and I did not hear so much as footsteps outside our room, let alone any rowdy people as other reviews have suggested. Overall, we had a relaxing and comfortable stay! breakfast was rustic and delicious, however we didn’t eat dinner at the restaurant based on the mixed reviews, but lots of options in the area surrounding the property . The wine tasting was great and we even took home a couple of bottles.

My only qualm would be the price of the drinks at the property, however, it is a winery and a somewhat ‘upmarket’ venue, so we expected a higher price point. In terms of value for money, my partner and I received a discounted room rate which we were happy to pay for this type of accommodation, and believe we received excellent value for money. If we had paid the full rate, not sure if it would be considered great value for money.

What was the highlight of Cleveland Estate

Modern and comfortable rooms set around a charming homestead in the grapevines and rolling hills.

Good sized rooms overlooking the lovely landscaped grounds - very relaxing in the beautiful setting around the homestead. The view from the restaurant and deck over the vineyard were stunning. Kate at Reception was a delight and the breakfast spread was delicious. The set dinner one night was delicious and enjoyable with attentive friendly service. The winetasting was interesting just a little busy with the Easter crowds. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the wonderful setting and will return when next in the area.

There seemed to be a staff shortage on one of the biggest weekends of the year so it needed a bit more forward planning by management. The bar was closed each night from 6pm and for a 4 star property and a service that was promoted as a feature it was a bit disappointing. The restaurant did explain the situation and offered to provide drinks.

Very enjoyable. Staff went out of their way to assist and advise where to go and what to do.

I am a Coeliac and the chef cooked my breakfast separately. Nothing was too much trouble. Delicious. Every care was taken at dinner.

No full hanging space. Room and hangers for 4 suits. That was the height of the hanging space,.

What was the highlight of Cleveland Estate

The perfect weekend winter (autumn) getaway

The grounds are absolutely gorgeous! We loved walking through the vineyard and sitting by the little lake watching geese as they fell asleep and then continuing our walk to visit the sheep and alpacas. At night we loved sitting by the bonfire and taking in the uninterrupted view of the stars. The estate is also close to town which is great - especially if the farmers markets are on. The staff were very friendly and if you love animals the estate was home to two beautiful cats mum and daughter Lexi and Scrumpy!

A few things of note. Our room was right next to the entertainment room which housed a pool table and which could get a little noisy at night (despite the space closing at 11). There were chairs outside our ground floor room and during the day we had people come and sit in these chairs which meant we had to draw the blinds closed, losing the natural light. I would suggest an additional lamp in the room as the roof light was quite dim and additional face/hand towels in the bathroom (one hand towel and one face towel for two people is not enough).

The breakfast could have more choices. The bread could have been nicer and more fit for the venue

The breakfast could have been better. On Easter Monday the room service made the bed but did not remove rubbish and dirty dishes. That was disappointing

Enjoyable stay but be prepared for a poor nights sleep

Beautiful grounds and surrounds, especially during autumn with all the vibrant colours.

Sound insulation was very poor, did not sleep well. Could keep hearing creaking noises from upstairs whenever someone walks or bathroom is used. Fine if you’re a deep sleeper

Pleasant , friendly staff , tasteful food, clean and tidy, but the wedding night set up looked sad

Bed was comfortable, easy late check in, very pretty gardens, quiet, lovely breakfast dining set up, tasty breakfast.

We thought we had a room booked with a bath, it did not have one, the buffet selection was small. We asked for a special treat as it was the night of our wedding, they supplied one sad looking balloon on a string, tucked in the cupboard, opened the fridge and it was connected to a bottle of wine in the with a rushed handwritten congratulations.
